Power Behavior
This week in my psychology class, we were asked to do a research topic of our choice. I wanted to focus more on behavior psychology so someone in class introduced me to an article called 10 Psychological Studies That Will Change What You Think You Know About Yourself. The article highlighted various behavioral experiments and list conclusions to each experiment. For example, an experiment was conducted to show how power corrupts people even when it is not a large amount. In the experiment, two students were instructed to write a paper and one student was instructed to pay each student depending on the amount of effort they put into the paper. The result of the experiment was that people with power are a lot more physical and also willing to make risky choices and gambles. I believe that information like this is very important because some people are always going have power in society. If we study the behaviors of those in power early on, then we can predict the outcome of that person.
