Well, it might not be for everyone, but Honda's Sound Sitter app might be number one on the list of apps for parents of young children.  The app uses the car engine sounds from 37 different cars to lull babies to sleep.  This Honda video makes it seem too good to be true -

According to the World Economic Forum 2016 report, by 2050 there will be more plastic than fish (by weight) in the world's oceans. In a business-as-usual scenario, the ocean is expected to contain 1 tonne of plastic for every 3 tonnes of fish by 2025, and by 2050, more plastics than fish (by weight).

For the past month I embarked on an adventure in the library’s archive and TC’s history to understand better how has Teachers College – and consequently the library – visually represented itself as an entity. More specifically, I was curious about how its visual communication guidelines, insignias and logos have evolved and have been used. In the light of the library’s new website launch, I wondered if there was a clear evolution on how TC and the library have been represented in imagery and if there was a consistency through out its existence.This brief research brought some interes...

As SpaceX blasts off a car into space, headed toward Mars, the curtain begins to close on the “Out of this World” Mars experience in the Learning Theater. This March we are projected to send the final groups of colonists out to redder pastures. So it’s time to start thinking about what the next big edu-taining experience for the LT space might be. I spent some time pondering the future of the space and here is a pitch for a possible way to transform the 4th floor in the coming months.
